This chair is a Philadelphia Comb back. It features a built up steam bent arm, more complex turnings and both the crest and arms end in carvings. The finish is black over red which changes as the chair ages revealing more of the red.

This chair more than others marked an important point in my chair journey. It was a picture of this chair that made me want to build Windsors the right way…with my own turnings, my own steam bending, carefully using hand tools and traditional methods.
