Classes
It is has been said that every skill is eventually self taught. I believe that to be true, sort of. I also believe that I would not be where I am in my chair making journey without the teaching and guidance I have gratefully received. If you want to take a class on chair making, let me know and I will help you. The basic policy works like this. You choose a chair you want to build and I will help you build it. Along the way I will help you with all facets of chair making from choosing tools and sharpening to steam bending and shaving to the final assembly. At the end of 6 days (hopefully) you get to take a chair home.
My shop is located in Presque Isle, Maine. It’s a perfect place to spend a few days building and exploring Maine.
